Fees

My standard rate is $130 per hour, but I do not want finances to get in the way of people getting the support they need.   Therefore, I offer a sliding scale for counselling services.  Please contact me to discuss rates- we'll find something that works for both of us.  Note that sessions are a full hour long.

Tips to make getting help accessible

Sessions may also covered by some private insurance plans- check your coverage.  This means you can get reimbursed for a portion of counselling fees.  My certification is Registered Counselling Therapist- Candidate.  I offer direct billing through several companies, including Blue Cross, Canada Life, the Chamber of Commers, Desjardins, Johnson Inc., and Manulife.  Please check with me regarding other insurance companies.

I also offer counselling through the Employee Assistance Program provider companies Telus Health, Arcora, and Homewood.  It's always a good idea, if you have insurance through your work, to see if short-term counselling may be covered by your employer.  If so, you can specifically request to see me.

In addition, I provide counselling at no cost to the client through the NS Department of Justice program Victim's Services.
